How Much Does Event Videography Cost in the UK?

Coverage hours, crew, cameras, turnaround and deliverables. What actually sets the price of filming an event.

Seven Media · Updated 20 September 2026

Event videography is priced around coverage rather than creativity. How many hours of the event need filming, how many cameras and operators that requires, how quickly you need the content back, and what you want at the end. Understanding those four variables makes quotes far easier to compare.

What sets the price

Coverage hours. A two hour awards presentation and a full day conference with breakout sessions are very different commitments, including setup and derig either side.

Cameras and crew. A single operator can cover a focused event. A stage programme with audience reaction, roaming interviews and simultaneous sessions needs multiple operators and a plan for how the footage is synchronised.

Audio. Clean sound from a stage feed or dedicated microphones is what makes speaker content usable. It is a small line on a quote and the first thing that ruins footage when it is skipped.

Turnaround. Same day or next day edits require an editor working alongside the event, which is a different cost structure to a standard post production schedule.

Deliverables. A highlights film is one output. A highlights film, speaker sessions, vertical clips and a sizzle reel for next year's promotion is a content package.

Single camera or multi camera

Single camera suits smaller events, one main space and a highlights led output. It is efficient and unobtrusive.

Multi camera is necessary when you need full session recordings, cutaways to the audience, or coverage of things happening at the same time in different places. It costs more on the day and saves the edit.

Getting more from the same budget

Decide the outputs before the event, not afterwards. Knowing you need vertical clips changes how the crew films, and that decision is free in advance and impossible in retrospect.

Brief the crew on the moments that matter to you: the announcement, the handshake, the specific guest, the room at its fullest. Events are unrepeatable, so priorities have to be agreed in advance.

How Seven Media works at events

We plan coverage around the outputs you need and the moments that matter commercially, then film with the edit and the channels already decided.

Our event films and event production pages set out how we cover events, and our work at Wembley shows the sort of coverage we plan for.

Common questions

Do we need photography as well as video?
They serve different purposes. Video carries atmosphere and speech, photography gives you immediate assets for press, social and internal use. Many organisations book both and brief them as one team so coverage is not duplicated.
How soon can we have content after the event?
That depends on what you have agreed in advance. Fast turnaround is entirely possible when it is scoped up front, because the editing workflow has to be set up before the event rather than after it.
