The project
The main film from Constructioncrew's biogas event at The Belfry: eighteen holes on the Brabazon in the morning, a black tie evening in the Warwick Suite, and one story running through both.
The brief
Biogas at The Belfry ran as two halves that shared nothing visually: a golf course at midday and a black tie dinner under chandeliers. Each had its own film. This is the one that had to make them a single event.
It also carries the heaviest commercial load of the three. The golf and evening films show what happened; this one has to persuade somebody who was not there that next year is worth their day, which means it works as an argument rather than a recap.
What we produced
Cut from the full day's coverage rather than assembled from the two highlight films, so the story moves between the morning and the evening instead of simply playing one after the other.
Voiced over by presenter Elizabeth Warburton, which is what lets it hold a line of argument across two settings. The other two films carry themselves on footage and sound; this one needed a narrator to connect them.
Paced to be watched by someone deciding whether to attend, not by someone remembering that they did.
The outcome
A film that works as the event's own pitch, used by Constructioncrew for brand exposure and as the centrepiece of the promotion for the next one.
The anchor of a three-part set: the golf, the evening, and this, which carries the story across both.
